Member Terms

YONSEI SaeBom Medical Clinic

These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using services provided by YONSEI SaeBom Medical Clinic and other necessary matters
in compliance with the Telecommunications Business Act and its Enforcement Decree.

Chapter 1 General Provisions


Article 1 (Purpose)

- These terms govern the hospital (hereinafter the "Company") in providing, through the YONSEI SaeBom Medical Clinic website,

all services (hereinafter the "Services"), and specify the conditions and procedures for their use. 


Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these terms and conditions are defined as follows.


1. User: A person receiving services provided by the Company under these terms
2. Use Agreement: An agreement between the Company and a User concerning the use of Services
3. Registration: Completing a service use agreement by entering the relevant information on the Company's application form and agreeing to these terms
4. Member: A person who registers as a member by providing the personal information required for registration on this site
5. User ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the User to identify a Member and enable the Member to use Services,

and approved by the Company. 6. PASSWORD: A combination of letters, numbers and special characters set by the User to protect the Member's information
6. Termination: An expression of intent by the Company or a Member to end the Use Agreement after using the Services


Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)

A Member who does not agree to amended terms may request withdrawal (termination).

If the Member continues to use the Services without expressing rejection more than 7 days after the amended terms take effect,

the Member is deemed to have agreed to the amendments.


① These terms become effective when posted on the service screen or the notice board, or announced by another means.

② The Company may amend these terms when it considers an amendment necessary.

Amended terms are announced on the service screen. If a Member continues to use the Services without expressing rejection more than 7 days after the announcement,

the Member is deemed to have agreed to the amendments.

③ A User who does not agree to amended terms may stop using the Services and cancel their registration.

Continued use is deemed consent to the amendments, and amended terms become effective in the same manner stated above.


Article 4 (Applicable Provisions)

Matters not specified in these terms are governed by the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act and other applicable laws. 

 

Chapter 2 Service Use Agreement


Article 5 (Formation of the Use Agreement)

The Use Agreement is formed by the Company's acceptance of the User's application and the User's agreement to these terms.


Article 6 (Application for Use)

A User may apply by entering their personal information on the registration form required by the Company on the service's member information screen. 


Article 7 (Acceptance of Applications)

① Unless special circumstances apply, the Company accepts an application when a Member completes all items accurately.
② Acceptance may be withheld in any of the following cases. 


1. The application is not made under the applicant's real name
2. The application uses another person's name
3. The application contains false information
4. The application is made for a purpose that disrupts public order or public morals
5. Other requirements established by the Company for applications are not met 


Article 8 (Changes to Agreement Information)

A Member must update any information that changes after the application. The Member is responsible for problems arising from a failure to update it.


Chapter 3 Obligations of the Contracting Parties


Article 9 (Company's Obligations)

The Company does not disclose or distribute personal information about Members obtained in connection with Services to third parties without the Member's consent.

Exceptions apply where a state agency requests it under the Framework Act on Telecommunications or other laws, for criminal investigation purposes,

or where a request is made through a procedure specified in other applicable laws.


Article 10 (Member's Obligations)

① A Member must not engage in any of the following when using the Services. 
1. Improperly using another Member's ID 
2. Reproducing, publishing or providing information obtained from the Services to a third party
3. Infringing the Company's copyright, a third party's copyright or other rights 
4. Distributing content that violates public order or public morals 
5. Conduct objectively considered to be connected with crime 
6. Other conduct that violates applicable laws 

② A Member may not use the Services for commercial activities. The Company is not responsible for consequences arising from such use. 
③ A Member may not assign or give their service use rights or other status under the Use Agreement to another person, or provide them as collateral. 


Chapter 4 Use of Services


Article 11 (Member's Obligations)

① A Member is responsible, as necessary, for maintaining their email, message board and registered materials. 
② A Member may not arbitrarily delete or change materials provided by the Company.
③ A Member must not post on the Company's website content that violates public order or public morals, or infringes a third party's copyright or other rights. The Member bears all responsibility for consequences arising from posting such content. 


Article 12 (Management and Deletion of Posts)

To operate the Services efficiently, the Company may limit a Member's storage space, message size or retention period, and may delete registered content without prior notice in any of the following cases. 


1. Content defames or damages the reputation of another Member or a third party. 2. Content violates public order or public morals
3. Content is considered to be connected with criminal activity
4. Content infringes the Company's copyright, a third party's copyright or other rights
5. A Member posts obscene material or links to obscene sites on the Company's website or message board 
6. Content is otherwise considered to violate applicable laws 


Article 13 (Copyright of Posts)

Copyright in a post belongs to its author. A Member may not commercially use material posted on the Services,

including processing or selling information obtained through the Services.


Article 14 (Service Hours) 

In principle, Services are available 24 hours a day throughout the year unless there is a particular operational or technical difficulty. Exceptions apply for scheduled maintenance and similar reasons.


Article 15 (Responsibility for Service Use) 

Users must not use the Services for hacking, linking to obscene sites or illegally distributing commercial software.

The Company is not responsible for the results or losses of commercial activities or legal action by relevant authorities arising from violations.


Article 16 (Suspension of Services)

Services may be suspended in any of the following cases.


1. Unavoidable circumstances such as maintenance work on service equipment
2. A facilities-based telecommunications operator under the Telecommunications Business Act suspends telecommunications services 
3. System inspection is necessary
4. Other force majeure circumstances


Chapter 5 Termination and Restrictions on Use


Article 17 (Termination and Restrictions on Use)

① A Member wishing to terminate the Use Agreement must apply personally over the internet. The Company takes action after confirming the Member's identity.
② If a Member commits any of the following, the Company must notify the User of its intention at least 30 days before termination and provide an opportunity to present an opinion.

1. Misappropriating another person's User ID and password 
2. Intentionally interfering with service operations
3. Making a false registration application
4. The same User registering twice with different IDs 
5. Distributing content that disrupts public order or public morals 
6. Damaging another person's reputation or causing them disadvantage 
7. Sending large amounts of information or advertising information to interfere with stable service operations
8. Distributing computer viruses that cause communications equipment to malfunction or destroy information
9. Infringing intellectual property rights of the Company, another Member or a third party 
10. Improperly using another person's personal information, User ID or password 
11. A Member posts obscene material or links to obscene sites on their own website or message board
12. Other conduct considered to violate applicable laws


Chapter 6 Other Matters


Article 18 (Prohibition on Assignment)


A Member may not assign or give their service use rights or other status under the Use Agreement to another person, or provide them as collateral.


Article 19 (Compensation for Damage)


The Company is not liable for any damage suffered by a Member in connection with Services provided free of charge,

except for damage caused by the Company's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.


Article 20 (Exemption from Liability)


① The Company is exempt from responsibility for providing Services when it cannot do so because of a natural disaster, war or similar force majeure.
② The Company is exempt from liability for damage arising from unavoidable reasons such as service equipment maintenance, replacement, regular inspection or construction.
③ The Company is not liable for interruptions in service use attributable to a Member.
④ The Company is not liable for benefits a Member expects from using the Services or damage arising from information obtained through the Services.
⑤ The Company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy or other content of information, materials or facts posted by Members on the Services.


Article 21 (Jurisdiction)


If litigation arises from a dispute concerning service use, the court with jurisdiction over the Company's location has exclusive jurisdiction.
